| MMORPG is now most popular genre of games. It's mean Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. Its part of MMO genre, where player can create (here) character avatar and play in virtual in-game world. In 2006 only in MMORPG genre, was playing 16 millions of player all over the world. Its very hard to tell how much players is playing in mmo games like Lotro right now, but it's probably around.100 millions of players!! Maple Story has around 50 millions! World of Warcraft has around 10 million and Lord of the Rings Online around 2-3 millions. In genre of MMORPG, everyone can find great game and fall in love. I'm playing sometimes in Lineage very popular game created few year ago. Each MMO game its interesting to play, but all of them are highly addictive, I heard that one guy attack his mother with the chair in fury, because his mother turn of computer and his character - avatar died. Some guys died (in China) during long time playing in WoW. As you see this type of games can be destructive and highly dangerous for all players. I had some problems to, when I started to play in World of Warcraft; I played non-stop around 2 weeks. Day after day, I was so into it I forgot about all worlds! WoW, WoW and WoW, I was sick. Later was alright I think, but from time to time I just sit down and play.
Another MMORPG game was Lord of the Rings Online: Shadow of Angmar, this time I was more careful - 5 days non-stop grinding (I was on 27 levels after 4 days of free testing) and after that, month of playing - go here (subscription card). Now I'm free from all that kind of game. But I'm waiting for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning :]. So maybe I will play...little bit...when no one watches..
